What it is
E902 is candelilla wax, extracted from the leaves of the candelilla shrub (Euphorbia antisyphilitica), native to northern Mexico.
Why it matters
Vegan glazing alternative to E901 beeswax and E904 shellac. In chewing gum, fruit coatings, and many "vegan-labelled" confectionery glazes.
